About this business
The Qatar Tennis Federation is the national governing body for tennis in Qatar, founded on 9 April 1984 and affiliated with both the International Tennis Federation and the Asian Tennis Federation. It is headquartered at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, a venue that opened in 1992, and is presided over by Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
The federation organises the country's top professional events, including the annual ATP Qatar Open for men and the WTA Qatar Ladies Open, and hosted the WTA Tour Championships from 2008 to 2010. Beyond elite competition, it oversees the development of the sport locally, and courts at the complex can be reserved through its reception desk at reception@qatartennis.com.
