These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of companiesinqatar.com (the “website”), operated by Companies in Qatar (“we”, “us”). By using the website, submitting a listing or contacting us through it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. What we provide
The website is a free-to-browse directory of businesses operating in Qatar, with a jobs board, business news and guides. We may change, add or remove features, categories or content at any time.
3. Using the website
You agree not to:
- Use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
- Submit false, misleading or infringing information, or pose as someone else.
- Copy or scrape the directory in bulk, or reuse it to build a competing database.
- Try to break into, overload or disrupt the website or its security.
- Send spam or unsolicited marketing to businesses using contact details found on the website.
We may block access or remove content from anyone who breaks these rules.
4. Business listings
- Anyone can request a free listing through our Add Listing form or by contacting us.
- We review every submission before publishing it. We may edit listings for accuracy, clarity and consistency, and we may reject or remove any listing at our discretion.
- Some listings are created by our team from publicly available information, such as a company’s official website.
- If you submit a listing, you confirm that you are allowed to represent the business and that the information is accurate.
- Business owners can ask us to correct, update or remove their listing at any time by emailing office@companiesinqatar.com.
5. Job listings
- Jobs on our board are either posted by employers or selected by our team from employers’ official careers pages.
- You apply directly with the employer. We are not the employer or a recruitment agency, and we are not involved in hiring decisions.
- We never charge candidates to apply for a job. Be careful with anyone who asks you to pay a fee for a job offer, visa or interview, and report it to us.
- Vacancies can close or change without notice, so always check the details with the employer.
6. Advertising and promoted content
Businesses can advertise with us or pay for promoted placements. These are agreed separately with each advertiser. Promoted content is marked where it appears, and a promoted placement does not mean we endorse or recommend that business.
7. Accuracy of information
We work to keep listings and job details accurate and up to date, but information can change quickly. We do not guarantee that any listing, job or article is complete, accurate or current. Always confirm details directly with the business or employer before you rely on them. See our Disclaimer for more.
8. Third-party businesses and links
Listed businesses and employers are independent from us. We are not responsible for their products, services, conduct or websites, and any agreement you make with them is between you and them.
9. Intellectual property
The design, text, graphics and arrangement of the website belong to Companies in Qatar or its licensors. You may view and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy or republish our content without written permission.
When you submit content such as a business description, logo or photos, you confirm you have the right to share it. You also give us a free, non-exclusive licence to publish, adapt and display it on the website and our social media channels.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Any loss or damage caused by relying on information on the website.
- Your dealings with any listed business or employer.
- The website being unavailable, slow or affected by errors from time to time.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
