About this business
The Qatar Air Sports Committee is the national body responsible for air sports in Qatar and is an active member of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the World Air Sports Federation. Through this membership it is represented on FAI commissions covering disciplines such as microlight flying, paramotoring and skydiving.
The committee is based at Umm Al-Shokhot Airfield, reached from Exit 44 of Al Shamal Road in the Al Khor area north of Doha. It promotes and organises air sports activity in the country and shares news and events through its social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Its own website was under construction when this listing was reviewed, so the social pages are the most practical way to follow its activities. Anyone interested in taking part in air sports or attending events should contact the committee in advance.
