About this business
Families looking for an open-air place to swim in central Doha can use the pool at Al Ahli Sports Club, located on Al Nadi Street just off D Ring Road. Al Ahli is one of Qatar's long-established multi-sport clubs, with roots going back to 1950, and the pool is part of its club grounds. The club announces registration and reopening news through its official Facebook page.
The facility is an outdoor pool with both shallow and deep sections, and visitors report that the water is kept warm. A separate pool is provided for young children, and the site has toilets, showers, changing rooms and a small snack bar. Access is organised in set sessions during the afternoon and evening, and some sessions may be restricted by gender, so it is worth checking the current timetable with the club before going. It suits casual swimmers, parents with children and residents who prefer a club setting to a hotel pool.
