About this business
The Mesaimeer Workers Health Center is a primary care complex managed by the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) under an agreement with the Ministry of Public Health. Located in Mesaimeer, near the Religious Complex, it took over services from the earlier Fereej Abdul Aziz workers' centre and was formally opened by the health minister in May 2016.
The centre was designed for around 32,000 visits a month, with a Medical Commission unit handling additional workers. It has twelve general clinics, specialist clinics in occupational and internal medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology and cardiac and lung disease, five dental clinics, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, mental health and psychosocial support, and a 12-bed acute section. Eligible male expatriate workers holding a government health card are treated free of charge, and medicines are heavily subsidised.
