About this business
SportzONE, often written Sportzone Qatar, is a community sports organiser in Doha known mainly for running recreational volleyball leagues. Its events are aimed at amateur players from the expatriate community, with the Filipino community particularly well represented among the participating teams, alongside squads of other nationalities.
Local press coverage of the fifth edition of the SportzONE Summer League described a 14-week competition featuring around 43 teams split across four categories, with matches staged at the Qatar Volleyball Association. The organisers have presented these leagues as a way to widen participation in volleyball among residents and to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle. The group shares fixtures, results and announcements on its Facebook page and also posts match videos and live coverage of later seasons on a YouTube channel under the SportzONE Qatar name, which is the easiest way for teams and spectators to follow upcoming tournaments.
