About this business
Safari Mall is a shopping centre in Abu Hamour, Doha, developed by Safari Group, the company behind the Safari Hypermarket chain. It opened in October 2010 as a mall of about 380,000 square feet, and its hypermarket was the group's third store in Qatar. Safari's first hypermarket had opened on Salwa Road in 2005.
At opening the mall had more than 100 leased retail units, a food court seating around 300, a children's play area and parking for about 1,000 cars. The anchor Safari Hypermarket sells groceries alongside household goods, appliances, footwear and textiles. Safari Group has since opened more hypermarkets in Qatar, including branches in Al Khor, Barwa, Birkat Al Awamer and Al Athiya, and its outlets are listed as open daily from morning until late evening.
